A launch film that drove 260,000+ wallet connections, and the launch graphics around it, for Watt2Trade
Book a call, get a price rangeWatt2Trade is a blockchain platform for trading energy and natural resources. We have designed its launch graphics since January 2026, and through its marketing agency OMNI we made the film for its $4M rewards program, which helped drive more than 260,000 wallet connections.
A rewards program had to explain its utility in seconds and get people to connect a wallet, on a fixed launch date.
Ongoing launch graphics since January 2026, and the program's launch film through Watt2Trade's agency OMNI.

The problem and the brief
A rewards program had a few seconds in the feed to show it wasn't another token promotion, and its job was to get people to connect a wallet.
Watt2Trade calls itself the world's first DEX for electricity prices: people trade on the price of power in real markets. On 10 February 2026 it launched a $4M rewards program on X, and its marketing agency, OMNI, hired us to make the film that carried the launch.
The film had one job: make the product's use obvious in the first seconds, then make connecting a wallet feel like the natural next step, before a fixed launch date. Around it, we have designed Watt2Trade's launch graphics directly since January 2026.

What crypto users write
To check the film's choices against its audience, we gathered 891 Hacker News comments from 37 searches about airdrops, rewards programs and connecting a wallet. Jev judged each one: is it about acting on a crypto offer, which doubt does it express, and who is speaking? We ran this in October 2026, after the film shipped.

Hacker News is more sceptical of crypto than Watt2Trade's audience, and the threads were found by searching these topics, so the counts show what comes up most often. They are not a survey. Classified by Jev; 33 passages fitted no theme.
Four doubts a viewer brings to the feed
- Anyone who has seen a token launch
It's another promo.
- Wallet holder
Connecting could drain my wallet.
- Airdrop veteran
The rewards won't be worth the hassle.

The strategy: one beat per doubt
The film makes one argument. This is a real product you can use today, connecting to it is ordinary, and trying it costs little. Each doubt gets a beat that answers it with the product itself, not with a promise.
- Doubt 1 · Another promo
It's another promo.
Half the film is the product
From 7.5 to 23.5 seconds the camera stays on the product: a live electricity price, then an order built on real European power markets in kWh and $/MWh, then Place Trade. The reward amount never appears on screen; it lives in the post's copy.
It is the most common doubt by far: 95 of the 208 relevant passages read a token offer as another promotion or rug.
- Doubt 2 · Wallet risk
Connecting could drain my wallet.
The connect step, shown in full
At eight seconds the connect step plays slowly and completely: Watt2Trade's own wallet, MetaMask, any other wallet, email sign-in and Create New Wallet. It ends with a plug icon joining, so connecting reads as one ordinary, finished action that leads straight into a trade.
23 passages fear signing something that empties a wallet. None of the 13 comparable launch, rewards and energy-trading home pages we read show the connect step at all.
- Doubt 3 · Not worth it
The rewards won't be worth the hassle.
Small, concrete entry costs
At 24 seconds four facts decode on screen: 9+ markets, a $0.001 fee per transaction, a 1 kW minimum trade, markets open 24/7. They state what it costs to start, not what a holder might win.
32 passages say rewards get farmed and dumped by bots, or that fees and effort eat them.
- Doubt 4 · The feed

Every claim is written on screen
No line depends on sound. The mark, the price, each step and the facts are all on screen as text, and the film is one continuous morph: the hand mark becomes a dot, the dot a pool of colour, the pool the dashboard, by the seventh second.
Feed video is mostly watched muted, and people who act on crypto offers say they act when a real product sits behind them (19 passages).
The design system
The film is light and pastel, made from the product's own interface. The launch graphics around it are dark, with Watt2Trade's yellow as the one signal.
- Watt yellow #FFD744Kicker pills, the coin and the lightning: the one colour the eye goes to first
- Deep yellow #FFC801Accents and the bolt, where the lighter yellow would wash out
- Night navy #10141DEvery banner field, so the yellow and white carry the message
- White #FFFFFFBanner headlines, set heavy and narrow
Type. A heavy narrow sans for every banner headline, set very large: "PRESALE ON" runs at 224 px on a 1,600 px banner, so it reads at feed size.
Motion. One continuous morph with no hard cuts. Each shape becomes the next, so the film never cuts to black and the product arrives by the seventh second.
Banners. Four versions of each launch moment, varying the crop, border and background.
Choosing a banner at feed size
We placed three banner options inside mock X posts and judged them at the size people would meet them, not at full size on a canvas.

Results
Results come from the client and agency, and from the public counters on the launch post. We have no split by channel, so the fair word for the film is that it helped drive them.
- Wallet connections
- 260,000+, reported by OMNI's CMO in a verified Clutch review
- The launch post
- 146,949 views, 1,779 likes, 643 reposts and 635 replies on X (public counters, read 3 October 2026). OMNI's review cites 146k+ impressions and 1.8k+ likes
- Delivery
- Before the deadline (OMNI). On time, including when unexpected challenges came up (Watt2Trade)

- Launch graphics
- Banners for the Fjord Foundry launch, the $WATTOIN presale and round, partner lockups and community posts, since January 2026
“Alterra's motion design garnered us over 260k+ wallet connections, 146k+ impressions and 1.8k+ likes on X alone, ultimately proving instrumental in communicating our clients' utility.”
What's next
- Measure the film's share of wallet connections by referrer and date window, with OMNI, so the next film is judged on its own numbers.
- Explain the rewards in a 10-second cut that shows one quest earning points, for people who stop on the film but don't click through.
- Keep the graphics system for every $WATTOIN moment: the same navy field, the same yellow, four variants each.
